we roll our sleeves up

Given the breadth of stuff going on right now, it's probably quicker to ask what we're all not doing. From mums to students, uncles to reverends, farmers and businesswomen and artists and therapists - we're all of us rolling up our sleeves and cracking on. As one of the students said in an article she wrote on returning from Lesvos, "this isn't something that you can say has got nothing to do with us. This is everything to do with everyone".

Me, I'm proud to be in a county busting with determined, energetic and deeply compassionate people. (I'm pretty proud of that student, given she's my daughter, and has already opened the door to so many other people who simply want to know how to start. And start they have. Have a browse through this site and you'll start to get an idea of how easy it is now to get involved, and how many brilliant people are really, really in need of your help. Everything you think you might be able to do to join in is more welcome than you can imagine.  I know you've only just started reading....but thanks. :) Already. You're star. Come and join in.

And if you need some help to try and imagine what it must be really like...have a look below:
